About Dolphins in the Adriatic Sea

Dolphins living in the Adriatic Sea are highly intelligent and social marine mammals, most commonly bottlenose dolphins. They live in groups called pods and are known for their playful behavior, often swimming alongside boats and interacting with their environment. Dolphins use sound and echolocation to communicate and navigate, which makes them incredibly skilled hunters. In the waters around Pula and the Brijuni Islands, dolphins are frequently seen, especially during the evening hours when they are more active. This is why dolphin watching tours in Pula are scheduled around sunset, offering the best chance to experience these amazing animals in their natural habitat. Although dolphins are wild animals and sightings cannot be guaranteed, they are very common in this area, making Pula one of the best places in Croatia for dolphin watching.
