KAYAK TOURS PULA

Kayaking is a water sport where a person paddles a small, narrow boat called a kayak using a double-bladed paddle. It’s a versatile activity that can be recreational or competitive and is enjoyed on lakes, rivers, and oceans. Here are the main types:

1. Recreational kayaking – Ideal for calm waters; stable and easy to use.
2. Sea or touring kayaking – Designed for long-distance paddling on open water; has storage compartments.
3. Whitewater kayaking – For navigating rapids and fast-flowing rivers; shorter and more maneuverable boats.
4. Sit-on-top kayaking – Good for beginners and warm climates; easier to get on and off.
5. Inflatable kayaking – Portable and convenient; suitable for calm waters and mild rapids.
Kayaking offers both a physical workout and a way to explore nature. It improves cardiovascular fitness, strength, and flexibility. Safety gear typically includes a life jacket, helmet (for rough waters), and sometimes a wetsuit.
For a summer vacation, recreational kayaking or sit-on-top kayaking is usually the best choice, depending on where you’re going:
1. Recreational Kayaking
Best for: Lakes, calm rivers, and protected coastal areas
Why it’s good: Stable, easy to paddle, comfortable for beginners and families
Pros: Lightweight, affordable, often has storage space for picnics or day trips
2. Sit-on-Top Kayaking
Best for: Warm weather and water, beach vacations, snorkeling/kayak combos
Why it’s good: Super easy to get in and out of, you won’t mind getting wet
Pros: Great for kids, very stable, less claustrophobic than enclosed kayaks
If your vacation involves coastal areas or islands, you might also consider sea/touring kayaks, especially if you’re going on guided day trips or exploring caves and coves.
